Our partners in conserving biodiversity
The Midwest Center for Biodiversity will collaborate with the:
- IU Environmental Resilience Institute and its mission to accurately predict impacts of environmental change and effectively partner with communities to implement feasible, equitable, and research-informed solutions.
- Conservation Law Center and its mission to improve conservation law and policy. Research knowledge generated by MCB will leverage legal expertise to enhance the impact of both organizations.
- IU Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior, which is supported by the IU College of Arts and Sciences and whose mission is to promote interdisciplinary research and academic interactions between faculty members, researchers, and students who study animal behavior from diverse perspectives.
- IU Integrated Program in the Environment that oversees the IU Research and Teaching Preserve and is supported by IU’s College of Arts and Sciences, O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and School of Public Health.
- Sycamore Land Trust and its mission to preserve the beauty, health, and diversity of southern Indiana’s natural landscape through strategic land conservation and environmental education.
The Midwest Center for Biodiversity will engage with diverse human communities—in rural and urban areas—to promote environmental health and justice by maintaining ecological services and biodiversity.
The Midwest Center for Biodiversity will connect to diverse interests across the state—including WonderLab Museum of Science, Health & Technology; Wild Birds Unlimited; Center for Urban Ecology and Sustainability at Butler University; and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.
